Waikawa Marina
Boasting almost 1000 boats the Marina is a fascinating jewel to explore with scores of small boats daily heading out onto the Queen Charlotte Sound. Its so entertaining, taking a walk to watch boats being launched or leaving their berths. You may wish to explore the magnificent Sounds so here you can book a fishing trip or a cruise for yourselves.
Dining Out
At the end of the day, to catch a meal or a drink, there are two welcoming restaurants overlooking the boats moored at the floating jettys. Their staff are ready to welcome you and ply you with fresh fish delightfully presented to you to remind you of your visit. (The Spinnaker Resturant and the Jolly Roger).
Waikawa Bay
Waikawa Bay is just 4 kilometers from Picton by road. It is the centre of boating activity in the Marlborough Province and gateway to the hundreds of kilometers of sheltered coastline and Native Bush clad bays known as the Marlborough Sounds.
Attractions
Guests may wish to take a day to explore the famous Marlborough Wineries, fossick through the many new Picton Shops, coffee houses, and resturants or just chill out with a an evening movie or game of Pool in our modern theatre.
If you are bringing your boat you will be anxious for off road parking, which we provide, and you will just have a hundred metre drive to launching and boat washup facilities.
It would be difficult for you to find a self catering apartment complex, better equipped,or so well positioned anywhere!
